XLC has launched the Almada Work-E, a towbar-mounted foldable bike rack rated for the greater weight of e-bikes. The rack features an integrated work stand so you can carry out minor repairs.

The Almada Work-E can accommodate two e-bikes of up to 30kg each. The bike grippers are said to be suitable for every frame material, including full suspension carbon frames.

As with many of XLC’s racks, it’s tiltable so you can still access the boot (although not with every car – you’ll need to check it works with yours). There’s also a loading ramp available so that you can get bikes on an off more easily.

The Almada Work-E folds down to 22 x 87 x 52cm when not in use and has two wheels and a handle for moving it around.

Security features include a lock in the gripper and the possibility of adding another lock via the modular rail system.

XLC reckon it can be installed in around a minute with a fold-out arm for work stand functionality and LED lighting rounding out the package.
