Chain "catching" in Low gear rear de. (Shimano 105)

Hey peeps..

From having looked through a myriad of youtube videos on gear set-ups that I could see that the shop where I got my bike had set it up completely wrong. In fact, it was all over the place.

I've fixed the front de. so that the chain never rubs, and shifts smoothly and crisply.

The rear mech shifts flawlessly too, but for some reason (which - I can't figure out, a bit noob - sorry) the chain is "catching" when it is in the lowest gear (big cog) when I spin the pedals the right way, and if I spin the pedals backwards it actually hops down 1 or 2 cogs by itself.

FS: Shimano 105 (5700) Front Derailleur (Double/Compact)

Got it off the new bike since I converted the bike to triple before buying. Unfortunately, the bike shop (Evans) didn't agree to swap it so I have this spare.

RRP is 31.99 but am open to any offers. PM, if interested.

Cheers!

WTD - 5700 (105) Compact Crank 175mm

Wanted: Shimano 105 Compact Crank (5700) with 175mm crank arm length. Moving to the Alps!

Best groupset that isn't expensive or Campagnolo...

Just posting a request for advice on which groupset I should consider out of either:

Shimano: Tiagra or 105
Sram: Apex or Rival

Can't filter out the best one but someone must know.

On a seperate note, which frame is more suited to racing: The Ribble sportive Racing or the Ribble Stealth.

And which gruppo will work best for my mid range Ribble Frame intended for racing and as a quick, maintenance low, easy to use, light, snappy machine. Nerd

Thanks
Raleigh
