This week we have one of those new packs in on test form Muc-Off plus we’ve got a brand new set of wheels in from Crankbrothers. To round out top five coolest things on test this week are a number of less exciting but crucial workshop products from WD40, Vittoria and Panaracer.

Crankbrothers alloy Synthesis wheelset

Crankbrother has today launched an alloy version of their ‘tuned’ Synthesis carbon wheels that come at a fraction of the price, are still front and rear specific and still use the coveted Industry 9 hubs. We’ve got a microspline freehub for ours so will soon be putting them to use with 12 speed SLX – reviews on both to come soon!

There are loads more details on the new wheels here, in our first look.

Muc-Off Lab 94 Ride Pack

Proclaimed as “the ultimate ride pack for your life on the move”, the LAB.94 backpack has been refined following plenty of feedback from riders and a whole load of research and development according to Muc-Off. It’s also highly modular so when you’re not riding, you can slide out the back protector and hydration system and add in the flight friendly laptop protection sleeve to transform it into a general backpack. The LAB air conditioning system should fend off excessive back sweat, while the roll-top design means you can make use of the 20 litres of storage capacity right to the top for less weight.

WD40 lube

We’ve got lube on test for both wet and dry conditions, form WD40, I think you can guess which one will be tested first! Both are made from a proprietary no-wax formula that the brand says won’t leave a sticky residue on your drivetrain and won’t leave a build-up between links.

Panaracer Sealsmart

Ok, maybe not the most exciting test product ever but a useful one netherthless. The Panarcer Sealsmart sealant was also intriguing because it’s a tyre sealant developed by pairing hypoallergenic latex rubber compound with walnut shells. Yep, walnut shell…. let the testing commence!

Vittoria Pit Stop TNT EVO Tubeless Latex Sealant

Specifically designed for Vittoria’s TNT (TubesNoTubes) tubeless range of tyres but able to be used with other tubeless tyres too, this is a latex sealant, that like others is designed to prevent punctures and seal holes. There are little other details on the website, we’ll have to wait to see how it performs when tested!
