Nifty little tool, until I looked at it and signed up I actually had no idea of the Strava apps page as I rarely use the desktop site.
What’s the keyword for rain please?
Apologies, I don't understand the question. A little more info please?
I can't see an available field that covers precipitation (rain, snow, hail, etc)?
The summary field will show rain/snow/clouds/etc.
There isn't a field that shows the precipitation amount though, or a dedicated preciptation type field. I could add these if people want them. I avoided them initially because they'd be empty when there is no preciptation and I didn't want the experience to be confusing.
This looks good, i’ve signed up.
For some reason I'm getting three fields of weather data on my Strava activities, I'm getting TWO start reports and one end report. I've played with the custom report and dropped some data from the report so that might change the double start report when I next upload.
That's very odd. What's your Strava email? I'd like to check your template and settings. Please email me at scott [at] klimat.app.
I signed up too. Have been thinking about looking for something like this for a while. Looking forward to using. Thanks
great idea, I've signed up and look forward to checking it out once this rain and wind has subsided!
Hi - i've just signed up
Hi Scott,
thanks for developing this App. I started using it last week and have gone for the custom option on the display to simplify what appears in my Strava feeds. In my opinion (and my wife's when she say the info), the standard display is just too cluttered and fussy. Get it clean and clear and you'll have even more flocking to use it.
Renny
The standard display looks fine to me.
Signed up and looking forward to testing later today
I'm an early adopter and am impressed so far... seamless and quick.
Is there any scope to customise the data- for example, to have the windspeed and direction first in the description?
I would also be happy to have a 'weather by Klimat' tag on the feed, if that helps spread the word.
Yes you can go into settings on the Klimaat page and change it to whatever you like. I've just condensed mine and taken off humidity, but there are various things you can add too.
Thanks!
Interesting notable, depending on how early an adopter you were there might not have been a settings page yet now it's at https://my.klimat.app, just click the 'connect to strava' button on https://klimat.app to get there. You'll have to be logged in to Strava to access your Klimat settings page.
The branding is an interesting idea. I'll give it a some thought. Done right it could work, but I would only have it for those on the 'free' plan. I think perpetual and premium folks should have no branding.
Great feedback everyone (here and privately). Please keep it coming!
i've just signed up and looking forward to using it
i've just signed up and looking forward to using it

Have just signed up and will be giving it a test ride asap
Cool! Email me (scott [at] klimat.app) from the email you registered with Strava and I'll upgrade your account. If you're not sure which email that is send me your full first and last name.
I’ve also signed up, and looking forward to using it
Hey everyone.
First, the bad news: due to a massive influx of new users*, only a tiny amount of donations* and no donations from anyone that was a part of that massive influx I've turned on subscriptions for Klimat. To be completely transparent, this was something that I had planned on doing, but I was hoping to wait a lot longer.
Now the good news, I'm going to give anyone on this forum that signs up before November 9 a free perpetual license. All you need to do is reply to this thread (a simple 'I signed up' is enough), then send me an email with your username on this forum and I'll update your account. My email is scott [at] klimat.app.
Edit: please note that anyone who signed up before I posted this message has a perpetual license.
You will still see the 'Upgrade' button in settings. Please just ignore it. Removing it is on my 'todo' list, but I want to finish up a cool new feature first (and, hopefully, get over this horrid cold)
Best,
Scott
*New users are a great problem to have.
*I wondered how donations would go. There have been some very generous people, but sadly, nowhere near enough to make the service break even.
Done! Will email shortly.
You should get this featured in "App of the week".
Jack just did that (https://road.cc/content/tech-news/251070-cycling-app-week-klimat)
Really? Well I never!
Great idea- signed up.
Now how about an app or website that can look at local segments (or even saved routes) and determine which could be go-go or no-go based on wind direction...
https://mywindsock.com/ is probably what you want. I kicked the tires on it before I built Klimat.
On this I wish they would break down segments into times of the day. I want to compare my route to someone who has done it at the same time of day not someone that that done it in the dead of night
