hi

I have one of the above, has anyone fitted 28mm tyres to one? Running 25mm and there appears to be enough room but i'm not sue if they will fit.

I've got a Via Nirone from 2010 and I'm currently running a 28mm tyre on the rear with no issues. I'll be replacing the front tyre with a 28mm as well when it eventually needs to be changed.

I was think about getting 28s for mine (2014 model), the front looked like it would easily clear a 28 (I've got 25 durano+ on atm) but might be tight at the back, the 25 is pretty close to the front derailleur band (on an 18mm internal rim).

I'm pretty sure I did at one point, but mine was a 2005 model. Things may have changed since then.

You need to look at clearance between tyre and seat tube, chainstays and most importantly the gap between the tyre and the brake bridge/fork crown and caliper.

You'll probably get one on the front easily, but the back is the one that catches people... Often it'll clear the bottom bracket area but the brake bridge will be too low.
