Horrendous but not surprised seeing where the incident was in Southampton, that estate is one that is known locally for anti-social behaviour of some of the residents.
Most are deliberate thats why hi viz is a nonsense.
I tried the terrorist angle when reporting the dark skinned bus driver who crossed the road anf drove at our group recently.
It was red alert until I mentioned we where cyclist..then after a sigh "deserve what you get" in so many words.
2nd that, honestly I think hi-viz just makes you a target for cyclist haters. White / v'light colours make more sense than 'hi-viz' along with some reflectives.
All the hallmarks of the Nice terrorist attack. I hope appropriate resources will be deployed.
