#mycyclingweekend: Let's clean up the b******ds

Most of you stayed marvelously clean this #mycyclingweekend - despite some close calls with cattle - but one or two of you need a wash

Considering the prize for this week's #mycyclingweekend winner was a bottle of Muc-Off's finest shower gel, courtesy of Cycle Surgery, you lot stayed miraculously clean. Well, most of you did.

One man, John Grenfell, got particularly dirty. Paint and race sweat. Not to say that those of you who stayed clean this #mycyclingweekend are any better or worse than our man John, but we really like to see a bit of sweat and work ethic here at road.cc.

We don't know about Muc-Off shower gel's paint stripping capacity, John, perhaps you could let us know.

John wasn't alone in the dirty b*****d department, others got dirty too. Check out Instagram user Egon Mutsaerts - known as @trainslowracehard the photo-based social network - and his action shot in Malonne, Belgium.

You were already looking pretty mucky mid-race, Egon, did it get much worse?

We were also a little surprised that Instagram user @littlesunshine 1806 didn't get messy, given how close she was getting to this cow!

There was plenty of squeaky clean fun to be had too, this #mycyclingweekend. Two road.cc team members, Tass Whitby and Laura Laker went out for rides, and both did a marvelous job at staying clean. Laura battled against cleats that seemed determined to ruin her day, and Tass battled West Country hills and over 92 miles of riding at Bike Bath.

They weren't alone in the clean fun department, and they also weren't alone in the road.cc repping department either. Instagram user @peted76 climed Alpe d'Huez in his road.cc best. Chapeau, chap!

Here are a few of our other favourites from this #mycyclingweekend.

But, before we go, remember that it's not too late to get involved. If you want us to see your weekend riding shot, send your photo to us via Instagram or Twitter by attatching the #mycyclingweekend hashtag to your post.
