Mellow rolling countryside and picture postcard views combined with easy trails make for a fun relaxed summers ride.
There are two routes the Massif 68 miles and Mini Massif 46 miles.
This great Peak District ride sets off from the Bakewell Showground / Agri Business Centre on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Bakewell.
Both routes leave Bakewell on the Monsal Trail and complete a loop around High Rake and Longstone Moor before rejoining the Monsal Trail, passing through the tunnels and then joining the Pennine Brideway (old railway line) at Parsley Hay then onto the limestone tracks at the back of the stunning village of Hartington. The routes split here with the massif completing a loop to Ilam & Tissington on a mix of lanes, paved & unpaved bridleways and moor roads.
When the routes rejoin both take in a stunning limestone road over to the hamlet of Gotham, a mix of old railway and limestone roads follow before the return to Bakewell.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS RIDE IS NOT OPEN TO RIDERS UNDER 16.

Well what is that way? Are you suggesting that every bend on every descent can be barriered over a 180km mountain stage?
Hopefully it'll still be allowed for recreational use.

Churnalism nowadays - mostly clickbait stuff and regurgitation in the local rags/comics and beyond.
