Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow Saddle not fitting post

Hi Guys.....I recently purchased a rather nice Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow Saddle and I'm pulling my hair out trying to fit it correctly to my Trek 2.3 Bontrager seat post....the existing clamps are not gripping the carbon rails correctly (7mm round) and look like, if tightened, they would crush the rails. On looking at a few youtube vids there was one that said this seat must be held by upper and lower clamps??.....well the Bontrager is a 1 bolt seat post, so, on the advice of a well known retailer w.gg.e i was advised that the 'Ritchey Seatpost Clamp' (for 7mm round carbon rails) would fit the post and seat....spooky...it doesn't!...the clamps don't 'marry' up correctly with the Bontrager post clamps and the bolt supplied from Ritchey with the new outer clamps is at least 10mm to short. I suspect this clamp is only for the overpriced (imho) Ritchey seat post...so how do i fit this seat, if possible, to the Bontrager post?....if its not possible can anyone suggest a good seat post to use? 39

Hi....problem resolved hopefully.....got a Thomson Elite Layback Seatpost and it fits the seat fine. Clamps top and bottom.....Doesn't help when the seat is advertised has having 7mm round carbon rails but in fact they are oval....7mm when measured in the horizontal plane, but 7.88mm in the vertical plane......Time will tell 22

Does not fit carbon rails are designed to be clamped top to bottom not from the side.

You can use bontragers big ears kit but if the rails crack its your own fault!
