MOSCHETTII decided it was better to leave Buchmann out and bring in an extra sprinter tomorrow.
bringing in Gaviria was not a bad call, he was caught up in the crash, otherwise he would have been up there. I am pretty sprinter heavy tonight so hoping for a nice big (clean) sprint!!I was annoyed with myself for making the change, I had my reasons for leaving Roglic in but made an impulsive last minute decision to swap him out for Gaviria.

Kurianov & Planet picked up some decent points and then 1,2 in the sprint.
Roglic back in for tomorrow, keep Gaviria & Moschetti in.
Then 3 more sprinters in for Saturday.
Things are looking up 🙂

It’s not you having the disaster but some of the riders. Moscon and Kwia are better than they did today…along with Nibali, Porte, Dumoulin…and on and on.Nothing sums up the conditions of some of these riders this week than Kristoff pushing his bike up those last 100 mts…and he’s got some conditioning.
It is me being a disaster, it was an impulsive late night decision to drop Roglic and bring Gaviria in.
Surprisingly I’m not doing as badly as I thought.
I went for a slightly different strategy for the rest of the race, rather than bringing in sprinters for today I brought in Kuriyanov & Planet. It looks like it might pay off as they are both in the break again :).
Damn….brought in Gaudu who crashed…damn again….also brought in Ewan though. Happy days with that one….didn’t even head butt anybody.I was going to drop Moscon for Gaudu, I wish I had.
Rather than Ewan I went for Gaviria in place of Roglic. 37 points lost.

MOSCHETTIJust a thought, but why was Tony Martin not at the team presentation?Lost 9 minutes today. Suspect he is sick.
He also got dropped during the ITT, so it is highly likely he is ill but is soldiering on.
Jumbo would have won by more if he wasn’t ill !!!

Pretty poor day for me, my
Pretty poor day for me, my second rate sprint team did a third rate performance.
Time for more climbers.
I already had Viviani, Bauhaus, Halvorsen, Mareczko, and Walscheid from stage one, flipped a coin for Bennett or Gaviria for today and decided on the former. Can’t believe I didn’t go for any Jumbo guys yesterday.What happens if you get a repeat of Stage 1 in ALgarve

Good pick with De Plus…I considered him….I went with Valverde Porte Roglic and Nibali as my GC boys in that, so no room at their inn for him. Glad Valverde and Nibali rode well from the comments….Nibali seemed risky.I think Nibali will do OK, he is usually better early in the season when he is doing the Giro.
Hopefully my tactic of leaving out the top sprinters for tomorrow will pay off in the long run, more transfers later in the race when things are clearer.
Ill or just done enough and resting…It was a massive effort on the ITT…An extra days rest for Oomloop & K-B-K I think.
I think I may have top3 in both purist and standard competitions for this one. Pretty pleased with that considering EBH was a major part of my stratgey in both.
Pity it won’t count to the overall competition.
But I did learn never to pick De La Cruz again :).
