And don’t forget “A YouGov survey by Ovo Energy this month found that almost half of cycling commuters would switch to e-bikes if the cap was lifted”

Well I’m guessing I’m in the other half.

Might get one when I need it, and have nothing against them, just don’t want one for me.  It’s got a motor.

    Replacing your own cables can

Replacing your own cables can be very satisfying, very good but bargain cables and a very good set of cable cutter that will last a lifetime, lots of savings in the long run.  Oh, and I cannot recommend Middleburn cable oilers enough.

Okay I made a mistake for which I do apologise, it is movistar, but I do stand by the fact that BBC4s The Plague (Sat 9pm) is from movistar(+, which I also hadn’t noticed) and it is a bit weird.  And in Spanish.

Some pedestians react by randomly jumping either left or right upon hearing a bell, apparently believing that you are cycling right at them, whereas you are only notifying them of your presence.  And beacause they are walking down the middle of the shared path they have a 50% chance of jumping in front of the cyclist.

You are a very lucky person,

You are a very lucky person, during the 10 wet months of autumn, winter and spring that I shall start calling “The Filth” the shortest time a chain lasted, changing at just above 0.75% on the Park CC-2, ( can almost go up to 1% as 7/8 speed, but wanted to keep the very rare good 8 speed cassettes going) was 4 weeks.  It got so muddy that I was having to clean and wet lube every night, only 15 miles a day but the mud was extreeme, not all of the journey, in fact not too much distance, but at the starty of both legs of the commute.  Destroyed some ceramic bearinged tacx jockeys in under 2 weeks.  Dust is a better problem to be having.  And heat.

A much higher insurance bill and more paranoia when locking it up, but shiny, shiny.

If you can afford it, spend it on the thing you love.

You get 2 grands extra worth of pride.
