According to DoT nts0101
According to DoT nts0101 stats, from 2010 to 2019 (I ignored 2020 ) the average trip is between 6.8 and 7.1 miles and 22.5 to 23.9 minutes.
But you need that massive suv just in case you have to transport a us style fridge every week.

Totally justified – so you
Totally justified – so you believe 100 kg at 10 kph is the same as 2500 kg at 60 kph and that existing cycle laws are insufficient.
Why do you think that they are insufficient ?

I think the cateye is ok. HP and Sriracha were using it which lead me to try it.
You do have to set it up carefully and if on the tops I find I have to raise my elbow to see, but fine otherwise.

I used rent to cover various options of paying for use of a car. But as JH2727 says, mileage is taken into account and a clear cost of going over your miles is given. And there is no discount for lower mileageMarch 18, 2022 at 3:07 pm in reply to: What does it take to get people to leave their car at home? #990199Hirsute
Most people rent their car
Most people rent their car these days, so they pay for it whether they use it or not.
If you own the car but don’t use it, then it should retain a slightly more value than using it so less incentive to make that journey by car. Those paying 350 a month or so for the car aren’t going to spend rich’s £8 on the bus

Twitter thread has someone arguing that the lorry was 4.1m high but the ground was uneven so that’s why it hit a 4.2m bridge.

Note the sign just above the rear of the lorry !
