Just heard from Essex police that one my submissions has ‘resulted in a positive disposal’.
Perhaps this means the vehicle will be crushed !Hirsute

The drift ghost X claims
The drift ghost X claims about 4 hours. There is also a larger battery module available, but I’m unclear if this is an external pack, although I suspect it is.

Not sure if the cable is thick enough for you but otherwise seems ok

Q10 needs a lot better
Q10 needs a lot better wording and should be more than one question.
One other question seemed to be yes or no.Hirsute
I had a PHV driver last night
I had a PHV driver last night decide that overtaking me in a narrow stretch with parked cars on both sides was a good idea.
I was right by the centre line to deter this action as it is not possible to know if someone is coming the other way due to the line of the road and the parked cars.
It was also dark and foggy, so foggy that my footage is useless to submit.Hirsute
Was it this driver ?

I put a Cateye TL-LD1100 (2 AA) on my wife’s bike and secured it with plastic cable ties to the rack.

“You might break your arms but it’s small price to pay” ?????????Why not have one constantly inflated a bit like a buoyancy aid.
Should be mandatory for car users given the number of injuries from accidents (along with a helmet for head injuries)

I don’t think a single one hit their head, although with a helmet on, a couple would have found the protruding helmet hit the pavement.Jitensha Oni wrote:‘Tis the season to be falling…Who knows, they might then have posted on roadcc how the helmet saved them.

I’m struggling to see how you would hit your head in that circumstance and a helmet simply increases the likelihood of contact with the road.muppetkeeper wrote:brooksby wrote:muppetkeeper wrote:I believe that each year more pedestrians are killed from head injuries than cyclists. Helmets for pedestrians? Also, whilst “sports cyclists” probably should wear helmets, due to the high speeds they can get up to, urban “popping to the shops” cyclists rarely go really fast. The sad truth seems to be that cyclists mainly die due to collisions with vehicles, and rarely by just falling off.
“Collisions with vehicles “, eh? So that’d be the very thing that helmets are *not* designed to protect you from…?
Yes, I agree. I wear a helmet always, but mainly due to my most likely accident being falling over whilst clipped in and stopped. Cycle helmets don’t reallt help much over 15mph or when faced with a 2 tonne car doing 50mph.
