why, now with this? incident
why, now with this? incident was 2018, so joy upon joy, he’s presumably driving again?
We’re really getting into the mindset of arguing about and justifying the obviously wrong – tone from top, I guess. I’m starting to notice the sort of response discussed upthread on local Facebook – pavement parking? “guy’s got to earn a living”, fly tipping “well, it’s £15 to use the tip, so y’know…”
Wondering what I’d get back if I Facebooked this picture “people have got to park somewhere; sit sideways”?

No, please make it stop, I
No, please make it stop, I don’t want local businesses to die. We must do everything we can to allow drivers convenient access.

There’s no chance “Anonymous
There’s no chance “Anonymous’s” driving habit killed off his public transport?
I wouldn’t run a “two sides” piece if the author clearly showed zero insight into one of the sides, had done zilch to gain their perspective. Still, it’s nice to hear that Anon drives to the conditions – not sure what his point is, really.

FWIW, I was able to read it.
FWIW, I was able to read it. My bingo card is full.
It’s hard to select an overall winner in a crowded field, so here’s my pick: from Anonymous of Northumberland “We have no choice but to drive as public transport does not exist. On at least a dozen occasions a week over the summer, I will come around a blind corner and it’s just as well that I go slowly because there will be a wall of them pedalling as fast as they can.”

Are we accepting the boundary
Are we accepting the boundary roads argument here? Isn’t this about stopping the short cutting and rat running from congested through roads and trying to achieve less motor traffic overall? Isn’t an LTN a retrofit of the design of every major new housing area since the 1960s, a no through road?
Why anyone would vote to have other people’s cars past their house is beyond me but stranger things have happened. People in this country are longing to cycle, but they need a safe environment for it.

So, from a beacon for two
So, from a beacon for two generations of petrol-heads and three decades promoting a throwaway attitude to the world’s resources to a new ministry – I like your thinking, particularly this Easter as Christian thoughts turn to rebirth and redemption.

Mercedes driver crashes into Voi e-scooters in Southampton
I’ve put this article into the CCIB thread, but from this thread’s point of view, it’s a decent example, for a change, of there being a driver – e.g. quoting police Twitter: “The driver of this Mercedes realised his severe lack of talent all too late…”
