    Council and police send

Council and police send letter reminding locals that ‘liveable neighbourhood’ does not mean ‘more free places to store your car’

Joy will be unconfined when, and if, they get around to enforcement.

    Love that people think

Love that people think reversing through a no entry is somehow better.

    Long overdue that pavement
Long overdue that pavement parking was a statutory offence that Local Authorities enforce, so driver stupidity becomes public finance revenue.

Clearly the Hierarchy of Responsibility is too hard to understand as applicable to stationary private property that puts vulnerable road users in danger.

We got one of those, too

tldr: ‘pavement parking here is unreasonable behaviour. We are asking you to stop it, later we will be telling you’.

Best communication from the council in years. The author deserves an award. Although I don’t see why double yellow lines have to wait until the trial (still not started officially) ends.

We saw Bill Bailey when we were visiting friends (who used to live in Bristol) in Brisbane, Australia. However we felt a bit cheated when he said during his act (Tinselworm, IIRC) that he was from London.

Is that because an Australian wouldn’t know where Keynsham was?

Most likely, but surely that means it’s an opportunity to educate them?

I heard about this. Wasn’t it replaced in 1979?

FTFY. I might set up a campaign for people who are indifferent to, or don’t have a fully-formed opinion on, things in order that we are properly represented on the important matters of the day.

What do we want? Dunno. When do we want it? Dreckly.
