A new catch-all Tea Shop thread for those miscellaneous new stories that don’t quite fit with parking, crashing into buildings or trapped/prisoners in their homes.

Strange that the media uses
Strange that the media uses toned down adjectives like messy, chequered etc when a fairly plain “shite” or “wank” will convey the message much more effectively.

A Great Tweed Shark (related to the Great White, but with ochre teeth and a turquoise stripe down it’s front) was spotted at Clacton around 18 months ago. There have been no sightings since then.

A disgrace – a Reform government will soon address that.

They quite likely will become so in decades to come but there has never been a confirmed Great White sighting in any UK waters nor the wider North Sea, certainly not common!

I suppose the good thing about this is that, when greeted by something they can’t understand, they stop whereas a lot of drivers just carry on regardless…

…killing any cyclist who happens to be in the way when ‘the sun is in my eyes’. Give me a Waymo over a BMW or Audi driver any time! This is Audi A4 KX66 UFN, so full of Christmas Spirit that he wanted to grant me some luxury hospital days over Christmas

She has a daughter in Derby

She has a daughter in Derby who has just had a baby. She may not be able to help with care if she is banned from driving for a prolonged period

The defence lawyer seems to be the person for whom the term ‘Shyster Lawyer’ was invented, but it’s difficult to blame him when magistrates are so terminally gullible and the giving of ridiculous excuses clearly works. We need to get rid of magistrates and replace them with Kickass Judge Dredd characters who dare to say ‘Away with your nonsense, Poltroon!’ or ‘Cut the crap, sonny boy- penalty doubled’

The Magistrate should have pointed out that it should have been impeccable as she shouldn’t have been bloody driving. Four months extra for driving whilst disqualified? Wouldn’t it be better to double the sentence each time it’s broken? I’m assuming she’ll break it again, for some reason….

Waymo suspends service in San Francisco after driverless cars cause traffic jams during blackout

Ok, technically “non-drivers and their problems” but an interesting problem with self-driving cars not being able to cope when conditions aren’t what they expect. I suppose the good thing about this is that, when greeted by something they can’t understand, they stop whereas a lot of drivers just carry on regardless.

Clacton as you’ve then got a ready made-Mayor.  What’s that? “if you can find him” – don’t worry, he appears if you point a camera.
