A new catch-all Tea Shop thread for those miscellaneous new stories that don’t quite fit with parking, crashing into buildings or trapped/prisoners in their homes.

“It’s that time of year in North Norfolk when huge flocks of migratory Range Rovers arrive from their overwintering grounds in London. At some key nesting sites like Burnham Market they occupy every inch of space, like kittiwakes on a cliff side. Truly a majestic site to behold”

“Small troop of e-cyclists, their distinctive hi-viz colouration a defensive adaption – these are Range Rovers’ favourite prey. They may think they’re safe to be grazing here but in fact they’re dangerously close to the Holkham colony”

“It’s about time we stop asking driver’s to be responsible for the pedestrian’s safety” – thank goodness that the latest edition of the Highway Code finally includes reference to a hierarchy of responsibility whereby those who pose the most risk bear the greatest responsibility

A couple of rum ‘uns in the Shropshire Star (a surprisingly low car crash story count so far this week):
A drug user carrying a baseball bat and a knife in his car avoided prison for driving into a police car in a Telford cemetery. 41 year old Robert Jones had no driving licence, no insurance, also received an endorsement for driving without due care but avoided prison because “an instruction had been issued to restrict custodial sentences due to limited spaces in UK prisons.”
On Wednesday evening a car overturned in the village of Condover near Shrewsbury. No driver mentioned but “one person was left in the care of the ambulance service.”
I did a search for ‘Condover car overturned’… I guess it has ignored the Condover bit but bloomin’ eck that’s a LOT of cars with their wheels in the air! [search results]
