A new catch-all Tea Shop thread for those miscellaneous new stories that don’t quite fit with parking, crashing into buildings or trapped/prisoners in their homes.

Woman, 90, stranded in road after hitting pothole orders takeaway to her car
A 90-year-old woman who was left stuck after her tyres were blown out by a pothole got hungry and ordered a takeaway to her car.A kebab shop came to the rescue when Jill Hireson, 61, and her elderly mum Kath Cains found themselves stranded in the village of Bitton, Gloucestershire.
The pair were on their way to lunch yesterday and were already hungry before their car suddenly hit a pothole and its front tyres were blown out.
While they were waiting for AA, Jill decided to get creative and ‘make the most of what could have been a bad situation’.

I’m not a fan of people who complain that protests are not being performed correctly as they’ll always find something else to complain about (“the glue is too sticky”). The important point is that if someone takes the effort to make a protest about your parking, then you need to think about why you’re being anti-social.

Driver with provisional
Driver with provisional licence and high on cocaine crashes into roadworksWhy is it no longer safe for high provisional licence holders to go out for a late night drive without the road suddenly opening up and trying to swallow their car [or someone else’s that they weren’t meant to be driving]?

Joy! Another driver driving
Joy! Another driver driving one of the main ‘usual suspects’ vehicles taken off the road for a while- at least officially. However, such deterrents don’t work when the police are too idle to do anything about clearcut offences. AF11 XVU was first reported for no MOT 9 months ago, but it’s still driving around Lancashire
