Hmm… heard something like that before somewhere?  Ah, “This does break (international) law in a specific and limited way …”

I think I’d find myself in urgent need of throwing a mop bucket full of VERY dirty water out the front door were I the caretaker of the village hall. After all, what idiot is gonna park there?

    You cannot stop us from

You cannot stop us from coming into this car park

There’s a challenge! Make sure you can stop them, is my suggestion- lockable bollard in the middle of the entrance should do it. Entitled parents are as much a pain as any other entitled group. We’ll soon be into the season where the dreadful idle parents sit in cars outside Garstang Community Academy waiting for the idle offspring with the engine running, and blocking the pavements, the road, making bus-drivers’ lives difficult etc

Audi ends up in water-filled ditch as BMW driver ‘fails to stop’ after incident in Burgh Le Marsh

The blue Audi Quattro left the A158 at Burgh Le Marsh, near to Poppies restaurant, and came to rest in a water-filled ditch on Wednesday, September 20.

Police believe a white BMW may also be involved, but did not stop at the scene. Officers are now appealing for the BMW driver to get in touch.

    Parking ‘chaos’ at Wingham

Parking ‘chaos’ at Wingham Primary School as parents use neighbouring village hall

“This is private property, that’s the real point here. I would issue parking tickets and hire a parking company.”

However, one mother says she can’t see what the problem is and it’s the only safe choice.

“It’s a 30 minute window we need to use this car park. We aren’t there all day and I really don’t see the issue,” she says.

“We come in and we come out with no problems 99% of the time. Yes, it causes traffic but for a tiny proportion of the day.

She finished: “You cannot stop us from coming into this car park and until a safer alternative is in place parents and myself will continue using it.” (Let me know, Wingham village hall, if you need any beer held.)

    Agreed re lengthy ban, etc

In this instance there appears to have been no charges even brought.

EDIT – no charges = no conviction = (?) no basis for the ban.

    Some legal offences just don

Some legal offences just don’t offend. In a massively overloaded world, the police find it easier to accept the driver “he’s not dead* is he what’s the problem?” / everything driving is trivial / isn’t real crime line.

    * oh he is – well, I don’t remember anything / he deserved to die for not wearing hi-viz

    CAZ fines causing problems

CAZ fines causing problems again, but why the photo that includes a cyclist? Are clean air zone’s because of cyclists? Did the bailiffs arrive on a bicycle?

Subliminal cyclist vs. drivers messaging from the BBC here IMO…
