In response, he said: “I don’t like this at all, I don’t like this at f**king all”. In custody, it was noted that his trainers were soaked in blood. He was described as rude and aggressive towards officers when they booked him in.

Sounds like there may also need to be a “Not a psychopath” test for farmers and dog-owners, too.

Aberystwyth businesses revved up over parking charge plan

What surprises me most about this story is that there is still free parking on the seafront in Aberystwyth.

I like the “I admit that I was doing the thing I shouldn’t have but I’m entirely not blaming myself because technicalities” stance of the writer.

So many people are interpreting this as “all parking/driving fines issued by council are bogus” – it’s quite sad, the way that people are developing such poor attitudes.

This will surely be in the

This will surely be in the nationals by morning if not already – animal cruelty on a staggering scale.

In fact so much so, I’m even wondering about this possible explanation – the dog was in the back of the car tied up; the boot lid, the catch being a bit crappy/ not closed properly opened and the dog got out. The man just doubled down / was on something, decided to be a massive arse about it in preference to saying he made a careless mistake and fatally injured his dog. Sort of like Spanish women ‘s football man – he could still be in his job if he’d just said, “I’m really sorry the passion of winning the trophy got the better of me” etc.

Are they talking about the expansion joints? I’m sure Highways England could remove them, but I think it would lead to more expensive problems than wearing out shock absorbers

Speak to Elon Musk, he has a boring company

    edit: no, really

Edit: Wild horses wouldn’t drag me to Las Vegas – I’ve heard of the Tesla tunnels project. So far, it looks to have delivered one mile of tunnel between the Las Vegas Convention Center and Resorts World (central hall, please don’t write in telling me that the western hall is across the road from Resorts World, I don’t want to hear it.)

This all seems like a massive amount of trouble to go to to operate an underground taxi service.

Las Vegas is a fascinating Google Maps fly-through, looks like a computer has designed it – check out Suzy Nagle Avenue – a gated community the Google car could only gaze at from afar.

    There’s so much wrong with

There’s so much wrong with this I don’t know which bit to quote.

‘He told the court that he had recently retired from delivery firm DHL but was applying for a job with the Royal Mail and that was dependent on the number of points on his licence.’  And so, in spite of being so utterly oblivious to what he’d done that he wouldn’t believe it without seeing the evidence, he is allowed to keep his licence and merely advised to bear in mind how many points are on it, the potential loss of his licence being the only thing that matters.
