For anyone looking for a warm, stylish jacket that is a little bit different but works a treat off the bike. Not quite the success on the bike but packs down incredibly small so easy to transport.

Our new Service Course Down Jacket provides the ultimate in post and pre ride comfort and warmth, featuring a 100% Nylon outer shell , 90% down and 10% feather insulation.

It is produced with a new direct injection technique, allowing the injection of the down directly into the fabric baffles without inner bag – this drastically reduces weight yet provides incredible warmth.

The sleeves are slightly contoured to rider position whilst on the hoods.

Tell us some more about the technical aspects of the product?

Wearing the jacket more off the bike, before events and afterwards I have been more than impressed by the warmth the jacket provides. For a jacket that really can be packed away very easily it retains a surprising amount of heat.

DannyShane have been able to achieve this by using a new direct injection technique. The outer layer is made from 100% nylon which is used to create an external shell. This is then directly injected with the insulation provided by 90% down and 10% feather. This mix of insulation is input directly into small pouches in the outer layer which create the warmth but as importantly allow the jacket to be very light.

The tag line used by the company is, 'prepare to make a statement' something they have achieved with simple elegance. Available in grey with some black and white hoops on one sleeve and black trim. The sleeves are also contoured to create more of a riding position when you're on the hoods.

The seams are finished well to prevent any pulls or loss of filling.

Off the bike the DannyShane Service Course Jacket is a sure fire winner, stylish, warm and very lightweight. It only suffers on the bike as the sleeves ride up as does the bottom of the jacket due to the lack of grip.

Despite having a nylon outer shell it has proven to be durable.

The jacket is remarkably light and very easy to pack down into it's own bag making it very easy to take with you if you're not wearing it.

The nylon outer shell makes for a smooth, comfortable fit.

Given the price and the fact it is billed as a jacket for use on and off the bike it will prove to be a little expensive for some.

Off the bike you can't fault the DannyShane Service Course Jacket, it keeps you warm, is light and even easier to pack away. On the bike it is prone to slide up on the sleeves or the body which is a shame.
