Live blog: Vuelta highlights, Barca star Pique on his (e-) bike after driving ban,man caught cycling on the M6 + more

All the news from the site and beyond

Sometimes our live blog can be a bit slow out of the blocks. If it's taking really long to load, try refreshing the page.

Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.

"MyCampy".  Oh yuk! which schoolchild thought that up?   "MyCampag" could be acceptable if you're really that inarticulate.

Yeah that's less of an e-bike more of an e-moped...looks like he's easiliy doing 20-30mph without pedalling. Is that even legal in spain?

He might get some more points on his licence.

Yep, back to M56 traffic jams since schools went back, more than a coincidence.

The last two days have been horrific getting into and across London from Reading. It's taking me about 45 minutes (nearly 50%) longer than usual. Pure coincidence that schools have started again.

that's an impressive commute - what route do you use?

Edit: ignore that - I thought you meant cycling... you don't mean cycling, do you?
