Curious to know peoples’ views on this. I recently bought a 2014 Trek Madone 4 which was stored its whole life and has never been used on the basis that a) it’s a good aero road bike for the price I paid b) I really liked my Trek Domane bought in 2013.
I don’t race but other than cycle touring holidays, I mainly do club and group riding at a decent pace (18-20mph for 40-70 miles).
If I’d the cash, the 2020 Trek Madone would have been my choice but in reality how much faster might l be on that all other factors being the same? It’s a bit more aero than the 2014 but enough to make a difference to what I do? It might be more comfortable with the ISO speed system Trek uses so that might help me.
