Get set for take-off on the Stansted Flyer, a new event on the sportive calendar that explores the countryside of Essex. With easy access from the M11 and surrounding areas, the quiet village of Stansted Mountfitchet is the setting for the ride HQ which excellent facilities and ample parking.
With a choice of three distances on offer you can expect undulating terrain throughout even though Essex is not known for its hills! The picturesque countryside offers up some beautiful scenery and the quaint villages are a reminder of bygone years with their thatched cottages. All three route options take in the historic towns of Thaxted, Great Bardfield and the picture postcard setting of Finchingfield.
The Maxi route at 101 miles stretches out towards Colchester whilst the Midi route heads southwards through Topplesfield. All three routes converge in the village of Stebbing as riders make their way to the finish. The quiet Essex lanes are a joy to ride with little traffic and good quality Tarmac!
