The parcel arrived and my nerves were heightened. I had been responsible for going out into the market and finding a new supplier to replace the Asian one we had been using when kit was first mooted.
We had £28 pricing for a full set of jersey and bibs but the longevity of product wasnt there. Sadly. And the lead time of over two months meant that despite plenty of good will amongst the groups riders, no one really wanted to wait that long.
So the pricing was set to one side and a new supplier sourced.
We are using Godfrey Sports as they are UK based, manufactured and have a good reputation from rowing.
The design is the same as before but with orange instead of black the predominant colour we feel we are doing our bit to stand out and visible.
A full launch of the kit will follow at the first Yaxley Riders road show in early March.
Last time we did a run of jersey's we sold to Holland and the Channel Islands. Both to people born and bred in the village who wanted to show their allegiance.
Lets hope the kit goes well and people buy it again.
