Xcadey pm!? Accuracy aside, they are just electronic waste waiting to happen (taken from first hand experience)... All that carb with no water does seem a little mad - 2L sounds like nothing for five hours, but clearly a strong ride so what the heck would I know - well done!
According to a National Farmers’ Union report yesterday, food exports to the EU have declined by a third following brexthick. Sugar and dairy based products have declined by 70% The NFU president, Tom Bradshaw, said: “The EU is our largest trading partner for agri-food products, accounting for 68% of agri-food exports last year, but trade volumes have fallen over a third since Brexit” Food exporters have long complained over the added paperwork that Britain’s exit has brought. Since Brexit all food exports are required to have customs paperwork with different codes for every single product. This includes, for example, every variation of an egg product, whether it is fresh, dried, steamed, shelled, or contains added water or sugar. The paper pulp used in egg cartons as well as the eggs also need health certification to show they are free of disease. Also hit hard by Brexit is the horticultural sector with seed potatoes from Britain, mainly Scotland, banned from the EU after trade negotiators failed to agree on equivalent standards in the Brexit trade and cooperation agreement in 2020. Horticultural exports fell more than 50%. So don’t listen to Farage. He knows not what he is saying and he is a liar.
@wtjs because it limits access for users, such as those in some wheelchairs, or trikes (not an exhaustive list). Or for pedestrians with wide buggies/prams. Lots of shared use infra is crap for many of those it is intended to serve.
@jackcycles "Yet still some seem to find it appropriate to mock and deride a very real need to have a large security budget… While endorsing the publicly paid-for cost of Khan’s security entourage of bullet proof Range Rovers and body guards." Farage was offered the same security package as Kemi Badenoch, but turned it down, later claiming that it was "downgraded and inadequate". The old joke about how you can tell when a politician is lying - their lips move - seems to be entirely accurate about Nigel.
I have some bad news for Kerry Thomson about Police Scotland. Might as well try and report them to Captain America for all the chance they'd do anything about it.
@AidanR Remember kinetic energy goes with v squared. 5km/s is more than it seems.
Jo Cox was murdered by a far-right fanatic just one month after Khan started his first term as Mayor, and he frequently receives death threats both from the far right and militant Islamists, and yet you always find it appropriate to mock and deride his security.
@AidanR I'd respectfully disagree on that, it's pretty noticeable with the present-day pros that just about every descent is a pedalling descent unless it's so steep they'd be spinning out, whereas back in the day there was a lot more freewheelng, as I recall at least. Not saying that there would necessarily be a huge difference between today's riders and those of the 1990s if both were trying their hardest, but the better training and better nutrition mean today's riders don't need to use descents as a recovery period as much as the pros of yesteryear.
Careful not to turn around too quick there, or the beam in your eye will have someone else's out.
Why do these sports people always 'rip up their contract' when joining another team? It's a silly thing to do - it just means you no longer know what the contract says, while your former employer will still have their copy to back up any action against you.

Oh, I really think that Lance Armstrong fell a very long time ago…
CB is of course, right, and
CB is of course, right, and there is a plethora of evidence about what is needed to increase active travel. Unfortunately, the establishment and most MPs are wedded to their cars and cannot see past the end of the bonnet, and have such blinkered vision that anything which challenges their prejudices will be ignored; nowt so blind as those who will not see.
And in totally unrelated news, the treatment of cyclists at the parliamentary meeting about cycle provision on the HS2 route makes sobering reading. https://www.citymetric.com/transport/parliamentary-meeting-cycling-provision-route-hs2-showed-me-mps-just-don-t-get-4113

or it would certainly seem that way to an impartial observer, based on what the government say they want, on what they are actually doing.
