Jump, the bikeshare scheme operated by Uber, are offering two free e-bike rides today for voters to get to and from polling stations as the country goes to the ballots for the UK General Election.

Although Uber lost their licence to run a car taxi service in London last month, their Jump bike share and Uber Eats courier wings of the business are going from strength to strength, and there is a steadily growing fleet of Jump e-bikes in London. All you have to do to redeem the two free 12 minute rides is open bike mode in the Jump app and add the code ELECTIONDAY19ED to your payment profile.

It’s not the only way Uber are trying to offer a helping hand to voters on this election day; they’re also offering free rides for wheelchair users, the disabled and the elderly, partnering with Scope, Whizz-Kidz, Transport for All and a number of local organisations to make sure everyone can get to the ballot box. Trips between 7am and 10pm today up to the value of £10 will be free to Uber Access and Uber Assist users with a special code. Cities include London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool and Brighton.

If you’re London-based, yet to cast your ballot and want to take advantage, head over to the Jump website to download the app and see if there are available bikes to rent near you.
