Well, we’re helpful souls here at road.cc, so we’ve put together this handy* quiz. Castelli; I’ve been seriously considering a Gabba. I’m a big fan of Santini & BioRacer tbh.
Castelli for me too. Had a
Castelli for me too. Had a pair of shorts in the late 80’s that only lasted one summer. But my favourite jersey was a Castelli from the same period. Fantastic. Multi colour, not Mondrian but of the type. No fluoro colours as was de rigeur (sp ?) at the time. Generally too small for me.

AS for clothing? A bit of DHB although mainly shoe covers. A bit of club kit made by Champion Systems, a Torm jersey (nice but pockets a little shallow) and a fair bit of Rapha. My experience with Rapha in general is that you do get what you pay for. My oldest top is from 2007, has been washed 200 times and my wife asked in January if it was new?
Rapha liked our tea cosy ‘style’ winter hat (see above) that they swapped a pair of classic shorts for it. It may look like a tea cosy but it’s actually a limited edition – made from Yaks wool from the the yaks of Mottram Mountains in Southern Nepal…

Can’t bring myself to do lidl or Aldi but don’t want to pay Rapha or Castelli prices although some good sale priced Castelli team kits (Garmin Sharp and Qhubeka) on the above site are tempting but that raises the replica kit issue. Can my riding support replica team kit? Maybe just the bib shorts although I am sure none of the team riders need the XL or XXL size.

The last four fullish priced items I have bought were Castelli, including the superb Sanremo. The very first kit I ever bought was Castelli ONCE 1999, Laurent Jalabert and all that.
