It’s been a rocky old time for the bike industry, and that’s only been cemented further with Porsche’s closure of Fazua. YT Industries itself had a spectacular fall from grace before being revived by its founder, which led to some questions around the brand’s loyalty and support to its customers owing to its tumultuous exit from the biz. However, the brand has now committed to supporting existing owners of its SN e-mountain bike platforms that are equipped with Fazua motors.

YT Industries’ SN, or Super Natural e-mountain bikes, have gone down very well in our testing, with the enduro-flavoured Decoy SN MX being praised for its all-out capability and the trail-going Decoy SN 29 being loved for its versatility. Though the announcement that Porsche is to put an end to Fazua (as reported by our friends at road.cc), the brand known for its mid-power e-bike drive systems, threw large question marks over many Fazua-equipped e-mountain bikes, and YT Industries’ offerings, of course.

Although YT Industries has shifted focus towards the Avinox M2S system on its new Decoy X range, the brand has promised that it’ll continue to support owners of its Fazua-equipped machines. It claims that ‘the YT service process remains in place’ and the parts are still available through the Fazua network. It also states that customers will see no disruption to the promised warranty coverage.

In its statement, YT Industries adds, “The DECOY SN remains a product that YT stands behind, with its on-trail performance speaking louder than words and serving as the blueprint for what is now the DECOY X – its latest Avinox M2S-equipped E-MTB. During the development of the SN, the FAZUA Ride 60 motor stood out for its natural assistance, and while this closure comes as a blow, YT aims to back DECOY SN customers for years to come.”

While this statement has come directly from YT Industries, its mention of the Fazua network suggests that other brands that offered Fazua-powered bikes may also provide similar support. That is speculation, however, and is yet to be confirmed.
