Boardman Bikes

Named for its figurehead and chief designer Chris Boardman, Boardman Bikes is a British-based bike company that sells road, mountain, hybrid and cyclo-cross bikes through the Halfords store chain and independent cycle dealers.

Boardman Bikes was founded in 2007 by Boardman himself, Sarah Mooney and Alan Ingarfield. The brand rapidly gained a good reputation for value for money thanks to bikes like the Hybrid Comp and Road Sport.

Boardman has two ranges. The Performance range includes the Pro, Team and Comp levels and is sold through Halfords stores, while the Elite range comprises high-end bikes and is sold through independent bike dealers.

In 2014 Halfords acquired Boardman Bikes.
