Topeak’s Shuttle Digital tyre pressure gauge is an accurate and compact pressure gauge that’s easy to use and small enough to shove in a backpack so you have it at all times. It works on its own or can be hooked up to a pump, making it a super convenient way to ensure accurate tyre pressures.

With a range from 0-300psi in 0.5psi increments, it’ll happily cope with high-pressure road tyres yet still have enough detail to accurately set up high-volume, low pressure Plus mountain bike tyres and the digital display is easy to read and cuts out any chance of error.

The head rotates, which allows you to easily see the screen no matter how your wheel is rotated and the lock-on head keeps it in place. It’ll hook up with both Presta and Schrader valves, though switching between the two does require you to switch bits around. It’ll also work in-line with a track pump via a valve that’s easy to switch between the two valve styles and is covered when not in use.

Excess pressure can be bled out using a small valve on the rear side of the gauge and you switch it on – or change units – using a button on the front. It’ll automatically power off after a short wait and the coin cell battery has yet to die despite regular use over the course of six months.

All in all, it’s well made, easy to use and makes setting up your tyre pressures to a high degree of accuracy a doddle. It’s become an essential part of my riding kit and despite the relatively high price tag, I’d strongly recommend you do too.
