We are now halfway through the year but the momentum is still high for Team ORCC. Over June Brad took on a National cross country event in Cornwall, Liam C takes us through a summer cyclocross race and I have a go at a FOD Thursdays race. Here’s your half-year update.

After a raft of bad luck during previous events, Brad seeks some redemption at round five of the National Cross Country Series at Woody’s Bikepark. The track may have been a smidge above Brad’s ability but he’s come back saying it’s one of the best afternoons he’s had on a mountain bike.

Summer cyclocross races are pretty hard to come by that’s no issues for Liam C as he took part in Sprockets CC’s SummerCX in Newbury. A grassy track, tonnes of corners, what’s not to like?

In June, I entered a FOD Thursday, a super casual mates-race-esque series of races held at the Forest of Dean every Thursday (who’d have guessed?) through the months of June and July. It’s a single-stage race that posed a great opportunity to learn the track and get an eye in for those cheeky lines that may, or may not, drop some vital seconds.

So that is what Team ORCC got up to through June. Be sure to check in again this time next month for July’s update where we’ll see Brad smash a 4-hour marathon, I race another enduro at Tiverton and we get updates from the rest of the team.
