Featuring many of the same build and ride qualities as the acclaimed Vault, Pivot has taken the super versatile acoustic bike and has added a Fazua motor, promising seamless incorporation. Introducing, the E-Vault. It gets ISO FLEX damping tech along with a tuned carbon frame. Read on for all of the details.

The new E-Vault is built around a carbon frame which gets a special ride-tube across the size range. Each size has received an independent strength to weight analysis with the aim of achieving consistent performance on each frame size.

Vertical compliance has also been built into the frame but it’s scaled across each size by customising the carbon lay-up. This means that small frames should be flexier to accommodate lighter riders, and larger frames would be stiffer. Pivot says that this should provide optimal ride characteristics for every rider.

The E-Vault, just like its analogue counterpart, also benefits from Pivot’s ISO FLEX seat post technology. It’s designed to isolate the seat post from the frame for a boost in vibration dampening which Pivot says is effective over mixed terrain. The brand also says that it provides comfort without compromising frame stiffness.

ISO FLEX is compatible with dropper posts and the E-Vault can accommodate 27.2mm or 30.9mm seat post diameters.

Also featured on the frame are hidden fender mounts with custom on-the-bike bags that can carry extra batteries.

Moving onto the geometry, there’s a 72° head tube angle, a 73.5° seat tube angle and a 420mm chain stay length. A large frame gets a 398mm reach.

Adding the pedal assist is a Fazua Evation 2.0 module which provides 252Wh and 55Nm of torque with three levels of pedal assist. It also integrated with Garmin, Wahoo and other riding tech. 

Then the touch-sensitive controller for the motor is found on the top tube and it comes kitted with laser power level indicator lights.

Onto the spec. The E-Vault comes sorted with a Shimano GRX 815 Di2 11-speed drivetrain with GRX 810 brakes. It rolls on a pair of Reynolds ATRx 23mm Carbon 700c wheels which are wrapped in a set of Maxxis RE-FUSE 700c x 32mm tubeless-ready tyres.

The Pivot E-Vault comes in five sizes from XS to XL and two colours, either Stealth or Glacial Green Metallic.
