Electric mountain bikes come with a plethora of specific components – especially tyres. Michelin recognises this and has created the E-Wild Racing Line range that’s designed for the best possible performance.

Michelin’s new E-Wild range draws inspiration from its existing Enduro range of tyres. As such, these tyres get front- and rear-specific tread patterns. The E-Wild Racing Line Rear has been crafted to provide maximum traction when climbing which is evident through its asymmetric knob placement. It’s also been fitted with puncture protection to keep you rolling through harsh terrain.

The front-tyre-specific tread pattern has been picked to offer grip to inspire plenty of confidence when reaching warp speed. Both tyres benefit from Michelin’s Magi-X compound that promises to stay grippy at temperatures down to three degrees centigrade. They also benefit from e-MTB-specific puncture and pinch-flat protection to cope with the rigours of e-EWS riders.

In the range, there are four tyres available all in 29in sizes apart from a single 650b model that looks primed for use on mullet bikes. There are then 2.4- and 2.6in widths on offer.

As for prices, those start at £80 and go up to £90.
