Squamish-based apparel brand, 7Mesh, has teamed up with local artist, Kate Zessel, to create an all-new wild landscape-inspired collection.

The clothing brand has long been deep-rooted in its passion for Canada’s natural formations, an unlimited source of adventure for any cyclist of any discipline. Sharing that enthusiasm is a local illustrative artist and adventurer, Kate Zessel.

Teaming up, Kate and 7Mesh have launched a jersey and short outfit for both men and women that incorporates the landscapes of the iconic BC terrain. On the collaboration, Kate says, “I tried to create pieces that had enough elements that you could pull each one out, like a circle with layers of mountains and ocean, ferns, even a topographical map.”

To pull together the design’s motifs, maps and recognizable places, Kate was keen to tell a story above all else. “I tried to ensure everything flowed together to create a cohesive design,” she explains. “It’s great having so many local references, but the overall illustration still has to look good on the rider!”
