First up, our Liam is testing a new WTB wheelset, the CZR i 30’s. This is WTB’s new carbon rim that comes in two sizes. There’s 700 / 29″ with a 23mm internal width especially for gravel bikes and a 29″ set with a 30mm internal width intended for mountain bikes. The price for the WTB CZR carbon rims is £500 per rim. We have a full build here topped off with Vedict and Judge tyres.

Leatt DBX 4.0 helmet

Leatt has just launched the brand new DBX 4.0 Enduro helmet to the line-up. It’s certified to downhill helmet standards and comes sorted with all the mod cons with the aim to make it a convenient and fully kitted enduro focussed lid. We are keen to test this one and compare it to other similar lids on test.

Boardman MTR 8.9

Fresh in for testing from Boardman is the brand new 2021 MTR 8.9. For 2021 it’s had a pretty serious overhaul seeing a bump up in travel, a considerable geometry tweak, and an updated kit list. Hop over the first look here, for all the juicy details….

Princeton Wake 6560 wheelset

Princeton says these innovative 6560 wheels offer better speed through the breakthrough of dynamic cross-section variability, which yields lower drag and reduced effects of vortex shedding. After four years of research and development, the brand claims this is wind tunnel confirmed. With 24 sinusoidal oscillations, the unusually shaped rim varies between 60mm and 65mm deep.

Our tester Stuart Kerton is testing the disc brake version, but there is also a rim brake alternative. Stu’s full report will be landing on the site soon…
