Another “momentary lapse”

Matthew Topham: driver found not guilty of killing pensioner by dangerous driving

So by this logic, not even other drivers are safe if there's kids in the car. Heaven help anyone else.

(not sure what sentencing there is delayed to Thursday)

Only a years ban.

He drove in this manner with  his children in the car.

I do not drive, but I would ask the drivers, why is it that for some drivers the first reaction seems not to be slow down, pull over and sort things out?

Why is it that progress must always be made?

"There are distractions both inside and outside of vehicles and while in hindsight the right thing for Matthew Topham to do would have been to find a safe place to pull over."

It doesn't take hindsight.

Human nature. Cyclists do exactly the same .

Too much I see a hazard ahead. I'll just crack on. They're sure to see me.

He pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of death by careless driving. So will be sentenced for that tomorrow.

I guess one downside to winning the lottery is you lose the financial hardship plea...
