If this is true, you obviously just received an email intended for the Chinese market who don't give a hoot about Armistice day.
Its quite amusing to witness people find new and exciting ways to be outraged.
I should point out I work for a major website localised for hundreds of countries around the world. Different areas (continents etc) have dedicated teams around the world to 'personalise' the website for each country. Its perfectly possible this is what happened here. Why would people in china etc care about something that has nothing to do with them? There are no doubt hundreds of similar events around the world we don't know about.
No email me for me either and nary a whisper of said offer on the site.
Care to post up a screen print of said mail?
Ps. I did get an email from Dutch? Retailer Mantel promoting their 'singles day' offers - had no idea what they were on about tbh
Yeah I didn't get the email either and just checked the site, no mention of it there
Wish emailed me a "Celebrate 11.11 day" email this morning. I have never bought anything from Wish, and never registered with them, so was surprised to start getting emai lfrom them, and this just confirms my intention never to buy anything from them.
I am aware that 11/11 doesn't have the same resonance elsewhere in the world as it does in the UK, but it is pretty tone deaf all the same, given that my email address is a .co.uk one.
I'm on Rapha's mailing list and didn't get this. I imagine that, like many brands, they run campaigns specific to different territories and in your case there's been an unfortunate crossover.
Probably correct, thanks. One less expat customer.
That is seriously disrespectful.
If I were a MAGA type person, my Rapha kit would be in a YouTube clip of it going on a bonfire right now. ( I'm not, and I don't own any, so it won't)
