Hub 11-speed compatible, but is the wheel?

I'd like to change some components on my cyclocross bike, among other things this would mean a move from 10 to 11 speed. I've had a look at the rear hub, and it's a cheap & cheerful Formula CX22, which seems to still be in use on quite a few bikes that run 11-speed drivetrains.

My question is: would the wheel need redishing? It's been a while since I replaced the cassette on that bike, and I don't remember if I had to put a spacer in there. 17 Terrible memory.

I have a similar question. I have the CX22 rear hub and the freewheel is grinding and needs to be replaced. do you guys know of any compatable freehubs I can swap it for? I'm assuming I won't have to replace the entire hub just the freehub (I think it's just the part that the cassette holds into). ps it's an 11 speed.

Thanks

Yeah. I've just measured the freehub body. The measurement in question is 35mm, not 37, so it's most decidedly the 10-speed version. 2

Ah well. New hub, rim relaced on it, sorted. 1 Got a £40 quote for a wheel rebuild. Adding the hub, and I'll still be well under half of what a halfway decent new wheelset would come in at.

Not just probably, but very likely. Good shout, that's likely what I'm going to do. Ta!

If it isn't 11 speed compatible you could just get a 105 5800 hub and gave the wheel relaxed....cheaper than a new wheel probably.

Cheers. I guess I better take the cassette off, need to give it a good clean anyway, then I'll also know if I did indeed put a spacer on it. Would be nice, I'd really rather not add the costs of a new wheelset to the upgrade.

If the hub is already 11 speed, you will not need to redish the wheel.
The freehub needs to be 37mm wide to accept an 11 speed cassette
