The Great Shakespeare Ride Challenge
Are you looking for a challenge this summer?
The Shakespeare Hospice is holding the annual Great Shakespeare Ride on 17th August.
The ride starts at Stratford Manor Hotel and offers riders the option of two long distances – a challenging 100 km and a sportive 100 miles. These incorporate a number of climbs including Larstoke and Sudeley Hill to really put your legs to the test, so you can emulate Froome and the Sky team!
As always, the ride offers fantastic starting facilities and en-route feed stations, a tour-style start and a multitude of well-informed marshals around the course.
If you are a beginner cyclist or would like a more relaxing day out on your bike in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, the new 40 Miler route is for you. Still giving a fantastic cycling day out but on a much flatter route, the 40 Miler is perfect for Hospice supporters who are looking for a new way to support The Shakespeare Hospice through raising sponsorship.
Over 800 cyclists took part in the event last year, including local cyclists and riders from as far as Ireland. The event raised more than £35,000 for the care of local families affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
Taylor Wimpey are the main sponsors for the Great Shakespeare Ride and we are thrilled to have to support of many other local companies.
