Derbyshire County Council also says it has “no plans to permanently close the road”, after reports this week that the A57 could be shut for good due to constant landslips
Derbyshire County Council confirmed to road.cc that cyclists will be able to ride up to the road closure (and then descend back down) but reminded riders to take care as the road will not be completely traffic-free
"Pretty special"
Over five miles of the A57 Snake Pass road in Derbyshire has been shut to all road users as specialists investigate the causes of a landslide in February
Peak District road has been closed for a month due to landslip
Trespass organiser Harry Gray hit back at the claims, and said the rides were a ‘celebration of each individual’s love for the outdoors and cycling’
The charity says that if no evidence exists, Derbyshire County Council should reopen the road to active travel users
Cyclists set to take to iconic Peak District road again this week despite Derbyshire County Council insisting they are banned too
