When cycling, reflective gear is always important. I have always been a fan of reflective footwear simply because eyes are drawn to movement as well as bright colours. As feet move more than any other body part when cycling, if they are more visible they are easier to see. So I was excited to try out the Endura Luminite Socks. They provide high visibility and high breathability, and are also fairly comfortable.
The most important aspect of these socks is the visibility they provide and I can safely say that they do this well. The pair that I reviewed are luminous yellow with reflective logo and band across the top.
During testing they were certainly easily visible when on the road. The movement definitely made me more easily seen w in darker conditions.
They have two breathable mesh areas on the top which provide good airflow whilst cycling. I sometimes find that these kind of mesh make socks feel flimsy, but these still feel well made and haven't deteriorated in the time I have been using them. This is all despite being washed three or four times.
Overall, they perform well in terms of visibility and I wore them for a few rides over two hours without anything major to declare. They managed to keep my feet at a good temperature without being too hot or cold. However, they're not intended to keep your feet especially warm, so, I wouldn't recommend wearing them without overshoes in temperatures below 5˚.
Verdict
Good, high visibility socks

Sound a good idea if you ride
Sound a good idea if you ride in warmer weather. If it’s cool you’ll have longs or overshoes or possibly both – and you’ll be hiding them.
So are these for when I’m
So are these for when I’m doing a night ride in flip-flops?
