You should have asked the CPS
You should have asked the CPS to request compensation for a new wheel which the magistrates would have given you. If you don’t ask you don’t get.

I have the Orbea Gain Di2
I have the Orbea Gain Di2 version and I am very pleased with it.
Recently did a 44 mile around a very hilly Yorkshire. I only used the motor on the steep hills and then usually in the lowest mode as that was enough to get me up the hill and I am by no means a fit cyclist, and had 85% battery remaining.
Once you get the hang of the button on the top its great.
Weight wise its very good for a road bike and I love the look, who knows its a ebike.
The app is awful and I gave up with it and just use my Garmin to track the route.
Would I recommend it, definitely, its helping me get back to riding my nice road bike without electrics in 2020, thank you Orbea for a great bike, even if it was a long wait

I am an owner of an F8 and recently an F10. I went to buy the Gan but like you one was not available. Instead I took away an F8 for the weekend to try with no intention of buying and well you guessed it I really liked it.
I did not find it hard at all, quite the opposite I found the ride smoother than my current much cheaper road bike. The gear changing is smooth, but I have Di2, and the handling is very precise. No bike is perfect but I suspect the reason you may find few posts is that I suspect their customers are not the ones who frequent forums or post online reviews.
You don’t often see a Pinarello, where as many other bikes are quite common. I love my Pinarello, that said I have just purchased the Orbea Ebike which handles just as well but there is somethimng about my Pinarello which I cant quite explain in words.

The one key statistic we are
The one key statistic we are missing is how many people saved a trip to The hospital or even calling an ambulance because the helmet saved them.
I witnessed two crashes very recently where the person walked away, but their helmet was a complete shattered mess. That would have been their head and yes it is personal choice, but no one complains about wearing a seat belt. Please don’t say there is data, because the data we need re Helmets has not been gathered. Go visit a&e and see head injuries.
If the police get involved why not, remember it’s them who have all the paperwork, investigation and having to give the family the bad news

I am a motorcycle Marshall at
I am a motorcycle Marshall at big events like tour of Yorkshire, Birmingham Velo, and we get mileage , a small lump sum for our time and if we have to come a long way because they can’t find local Marshall’s they provide a hotel and dinner. During the event we get a packed lunch but it’s usually not great so I always take my own food.

No which is why backer beware
No which is why backer beware. All these crowd funding sites are a huge risk, ask anyone who backed Limits powermeter. I no longer back any indiegogo projects. You are a backer with no guarantee of a product.
Even social media shaming doesn’t work if, as many have done, blown the cash as they don’t fully understand how to bring a product to market

What chain rings and casette
What chain rings and casette are you using compared to them? They may have rings more suited for the flat. Remember the pros often change theire dependant on the route. I remember watching G struggle a bit going up the climb, but coming down he beat everyone because he had rings suitable for flatter terrain.
Look at a technique call the limit point or vanishing posint, its used om motorbikes but works just as well for bikes and teaches you how to measure your speed going into a bend so you never over cook it. If you have ever wondered how a police motorbike takes bends at high speeds, this is the answer

The roads were cleared of
The roads were cleared of tacs and oil as quick as possible. Several of the motorcyclists got tacs in their tyres. It’s not easy to change the route which is why they try to keep it open. Safety is paramount. There was also a long piece of wood stretched across the road. Some of the motorists were very abuisve to the marshalls, and then you wonder why they are short of marshalls. Who wants to stand all day, no access to a loo, only the food they give you and you are just a volunteer.
Please spare a thought for all the support staff, I started at 0500 and never got home until 2030 a very long day and was yelled at by many motorists.

I have an edge 1000 and just got the Bolt. Whilst the Bolt has some nice features what’s let’s it down is the screen when using the maps. The garmin is sharp and clear, the bolt, to put it bluntly looks cheap and nasty. I wouldn’t wait for the new 1000, get a good deal on one now

I had the same issue using the PC version. WHen I connected using the new app it showed that synchro shifting was enabled.
i haven’t taken my bike out yet to test it

Time for SuperPython59 to go
Time for SuperPython59 to go back to school and learn how to compose a sentence without the need for so many swear words.
On the way, stop off at your local A&e and ask them to show you what happens to people with head injuries.
Helmets are are like insurance, you hope you never need one, but if you hit the road the wrong way you will definitely be better off wearing one than without.

An alternative to the
An alternative to the Powerpod is the original product the iBike Newton used by tinkoff . I also have the Garmin vector pedals very easy to fit.
Comparing the vector and ibike Newton they report very similar numbers, the only time I see a difference is when I am going downhill when ibike often says zero.
unless you are a pro rider I don’t see the need for very accurate numbers and if you can save money by sacrificing a bit of accuracy why not

Without more detail it’s
Without more detail it’s difficult to help, are you looking for a prosecution of careless driving? If so, what did they do, pass too close and cause you to fall off? If so, you have a case. If it’s just that they passed too close, then I can’t see anything happening.
Btw if it did go to court, all the details of the incident are read out in court,so anyone in the public gallery can hear.the only time putting information on a forum like this affects the proceeis if someone read it who was dealing with the case I.e. Magistrate, district judge, judge or jury and then they would simply excuse them self from the case
many matters are dealt with by way or courses these days so the driver doesn’t get points on their license. My view is that doesn’t encourage good driving because not people’s view is well I won’t get any points, just go on a course

I recently purchased an F8
I recently purchased an F8 from The Bike Rooms and they allowed me to take the bike for a few days so I could try it. I did have to pay for it, but it was a try before you buy arrangement, after all you are spending a lot of money here. Having the bike for a few days I got to compare it with my current bike and boy is it a climbing machine. I also found that despite the claims that it s stiff and hard, it absorbed bumps better that my current bike.
I think only you can tell which bike is best for you. Its test ride time!
