Just checked out the route and the final climb is done from an easier direction than last year.So Buchmann, Konrad, etc should lose less time than they did last year.
Really…..mmmm….Is it an easier side that is easier enough that they get used to try and shield Schachman up instead of riding for the stage win?…or at least try to shield him.
I’m not sure we will see much of Schachmann after the first 1cat climb.
Buchmann will not be riding for a top 5, and Konrad top 10.

So Landa and Mas again tomorrow are the question marks, Landa strikes me as still making a recovery from the collar bone break, and Mas fell yesterday, Hmm should be between yates Fuglsang and Martinez, anyone else to through into the pot?

Bora are all over this race, They really should win it now, Manny Buchmann can attack Konrad is no mug in the mountains either. Bora are on fire!Teams took it easy on the hard climb today.
Tomorrow they won’t and Schachmann could completely drop out of GC.
Konrad and Buchmann are OK but in last year’s race they both dropped time on tomorrow’s final climb. Izagirre gained over 30s on them both last year, I expect similar tomorrow.
He crashed actually Minardi. Roughly 7kms out from memory but didn’t have enough in the tank to get back in. He left himself towards the back entering a cobbled section when a few came down right in front of him.I didn’t see him crash but saw him getting dropped off the back of a group.

Kittel ssurvived the echelons got back in the main group and then GOT DROPPED ON THE FLAT !!!
Looks like he decided to take early retirement, probably has enough money in the bank to have a decent lifestyle and do a bit of modelling.
Crikey…Enric Mas for tomorrow then…Are we still good on that start time?Alaphilippe was planning to ride for Mas in the last few stages, the climbing is too much for him.
I’m interested to see what happens today, I think the climb is too hard for Schachmann and he will get dropped but tipsters have him winning the stage.
I am sure Yates, Landa and others will attack, Izagirre will struggle to stay with them but Fuglsang will stay with them. I could see a group of 5 or 6 staying away to the finish.
Still undecided whether to leave Schachmann in or not. The only thing I’m sure is that whichever way I decide will be wrong.
…and what happened to Kwiatkowski?He crashed at the same time, looks like he accompanied Alaphilippe to the finish.

I saw it on Cycling Fever and then checked the team’s twitter feed. Announced this morning.
Luckily I switched him out of my ‘draft’ team and didn’t waste a transfer.

So many good riders in the 15.0 > 25.0 bracket made going without him a distinct possibility this time…not much to shout about above that price really…just Kwia…It did of course need them to keep in the GC running just behind Alla though.Quite a steep looking kick tomorrow….have you done a reccie on it?
