I noticed that these races are now included in the ‘Coming Up’ list.

Last year all the races included in the competition were World Tour events, and Kurne-Bruxelles-Kurne was not included.

KBK is currently on this years list despite not being a WT event. Is this correct ?

Will Driedaagse Brugge-De Panne be included? This is WT in 2019

    Thanks

Very annoying. Done it once this season and dropped like a stone. I suppose everybody will miss one or two.

Oddly I missed two in the Vuelta game last year which actually helped me win it…just got lucky missing the right ones.

Yeah rough one, a few sprinters stayed on, but the climbers have all gone. Normal service resumed at E3 on Friday.

Seems that way. Great ride by that front group…outstanding. I had two dithers…Alaphillipe or Sagan and Kwia or Trentin. Guessed right on both…but it really was a guess.

Edged my bets between sprinters and rolleurs. I had Ala, Kwia and Clarke. Not too bad.

Ditched Van Aert though…never dreamt he would produce that on such a long road race with no mud and cobbles.

Not so brave for me. I went with a mix of sprinters and others. Probably a good call to nail your colours to the mast with sprinters because even if they don’t win they’ll be up there. I’ve mixed in Alaphillipe and Kwia who likewise should be in the mix somewhere if they don’t win…

    My team for Milan-Sanremo

    VIVIANI
    EWAN
    TRENTIN
    DEGENKOLB
    CORT
    ROELANDTS
    ROWE
    BETTIOL

A few of those should go on to the next few races and hopefully save some transfers.

Bettiol there in case a small group gets away.

Alaphilippe out for Viviani allowing me to pick Roelandts over Maestri.

I’m coming around to the same way of thinking.

I’ve been hoping that the start list for Driedaagse fills up soon and I can bring in transfers that I know are good for a few races but its looking like teams are waiting to see how riders feel after their epic weekend before confirming rosters?

Unless things change I think I’ll live with what I’ve got.

That’s what happened when Kwiato won. He worked well with Ala and Sagan that led to a ridicuous sprint at the end. It’s all a question of whether the guys who break away on the Cipressa or the Poggio work well together. I can think of a few people who might have a go, but I’m not brave enough to stick my fantasy team on it. There should be a sprint behind that I’ll be backing, and if they catch the breakaway then good for me.

With such an unpredictable race there may well be a case for just playing the game. Some riders will be left over picks from the previous race, such as Alaphilippe and GVA, and may well be kept by the game at large to save a transfer or two. Keeping them and picking a safety in numbers team may well be a prudent way to go this time…
