I once won the Purist league

I once won the Purist league after the leader going into the last event missed the race  (I think Lombardia). It didn’t feel like I won it.

Congratulations on both your season wins.

    PCS has all the stage

PCS has all the stage profiles with start times up since yesterday.

The PCS startlist is about 3/4 complete at present (15/18 teams have now confirmed their teams).

I would prefer if we did do the race

I took him out of my purist

I took him out of my purist thinking that he would struggle in GC in the last 10 days or so.

For a very short time it looked that it was a good decision !!

    Yesterday suited him, a long

Yesterday suited him, a long straight finish, making it difficult for him to get lost.

If I remember, the sprint he won in the Giro was a similar finish, the sprint where he was relegated in the Giro too.

    The climax of the season

The climax of the season could be all down to luck then. 5 sprints in the Gree Tour.

I guess it depends which sprinters go.

If I remember correctly some teams have used it as a punishment in the past. I think Sky sent Halvorsen in 2019 and didn’t let him sprint !!

    Congratulations.

    Congratulations.

I guess you had Poels and Storer then.

It was another disasterous stage for me. I hate INEOS !!!!

    Ineos have more problems than

Ineos have more problems than I thought.

They wasted so much energy today for absolutely nothing. They will probaby miss the break again tomorrow, on a stage which suits more of their riders.

I guess that is what you get with Cummings as DS.

Was that planned by Jumbo? It was a little similar to the stage in Itzulia that Vingegaard won.

It was me having the tantrum

It was me having the tantrum today.

I had 3 riders in the initial break of 10, and then Ineos decided to chase it down to try and get Bernal in the break.

    It has been cancelled because

It has been cancelled because of Covid the last 3 years. Usually 5 sprint stages & one hilly one.

I think I won the standard competition once yes

    I stopped playing when Covid

I stopped playing when Covid started and only began again this year.

This year my Grand Tours have been awful, pre-covid I was regulalry top 10 but this year the top 100 has been a challenge.

I think there are times when nothing you do goes right.

I brought him back in for

I brought him back in for today. Unless he decides to pull out on the rest day he is a good bet for a lot more points.

I fancy Ganna for today but it was either him or Evenepoel.

I agree with you regarding his future GC chances, they are very limited unless other riders have problems, of course his team don’t offer much help either.

    I meant, did he deliberately

I meant, did he deliberately give up all that time in a huff yesterday?

It certainly makes the Vuelta less like a slow torture for him and he can now enjoy the race without any pressure.

It now makes the competition more interesting, I dropped him for today but he could now win most of the remaining stages from the break. Do I bring him back in again ?
