    Thanks for starting the competition.

I assume that Intermarche-Wanty & Arkea teams are missing becuase they were late finalising their line-ups.

Best of luck to everyone ☺

Missed the podium in the end

Missed the podium in the end but anytime you finish above Mountain Renegade has to be a decent effort. Well done to those above me, especially Winniewinner1 who was relentless.

Thanks for the info. Pretty childish, if he didn’t want RC to get the points the day before he should have fought for them. No benefit to him and as 11waterloo says above, he might find in future if he needs favours from UAE or EF to help him to a good position or a jersey they won’t be forthcoming.

That’s the issue with the last stage being a TT – Lots of riders just cruising round. The odd one looking to jump up on GC but they are generally the higher value riders so hard to squeeze into a team.

It looks like taking Lazkano out was the right move, he doesn’t seem to be trying.

I ended up taking Lazcano out in order to get Gee in. I don’t think we are talking big points though!

    Doing nothing can be

Doing nothing can be difficult, in the past I have made some horribe changes when I planned to do nothing.

I eventually ended up bring in Lazkano for the ITT, he did well in the Dauphine ITT which had similar length but was less hilly than today.

I picked him ahead of Armiral who I unfortunately picked for the first ITT.

    Outside the top 3, ony

Outside the top 3, only Almeida looks a top 5 tomorrow and his price makes it very difficult to bring him in without a lot of transfers (which I don’t have smiley).

Simon Yates is a good outsider but I mistakenly preferred Buitrago over Yates for the last stages. However Buitrago can make top 10 if he beats Ciccone by 23s, so he should have a lot of motivation tomorrow.

Healy took it easy today and lost his 5th place in young riders, so I hope this was to save something for tomorrow.

Healy in Johannessen out for my last transfer.

Shit !! I brought Quinn back in and cannot pick Healy.

Yes, I’ve just gone back and watched that and I can see no reason other than petulance. He may discover that cyclists have long memories!

I plucked up courage and did nothing yesterday. I got away with it as Simon Yates, who I would have brought in, did very little. I don’t think the Quinn situation will do too much harm. It’s an absolute lottery outside the top few riders.

    Has anyone seen an

Has anyone seen an explanation of Jorgesen’s behaviour on the first climb yesterday? In what seemed like a nice sporting gesture the UAE team sat up and Pogacar waved Carapaz through to take the last KOM point, signalling that he wasn’t interested in trying to take the mountains jersey back, then Jorgensen suddenly sprinted over the top to steal the point. Did he have some beef with Carapaz from the previous day’s break? It seemed a peculiarly classless act that could do nothing beyond make him a few enemies.

Not a bad call. I’ve got him

Not a bad call. I’ve got him in so easy decision for me. Top places seem locked in & it’s hard to guess who will give it a nudge or who is burnt out. No big points to be had apart from the usual suspects so I don’t think any number of transfers can alter things too much.

You think Healy will lose his 5th place in young riders ?

I might use my last transfer to bring him back in for the ITT.

    Yes down to one remaining

Yes down to one remaining transfer, I wasted some chasing the break the other day in an all or nothing attempt to try and make top 10.

Same as 11waterloo, the ITT looks made for GC climbers and a lottery to pick anyone else.
