Most of us lament the lenient sentences handed out to killer drivers so I thought this might show justice can be served sometimes.

It seems the long sentece was because he was convicted of multiple other offences but at least the grieving family and friends don’t have to see the killer merely slapped on the wrist and sent off to continue with their life consequence free.

I have used that handle for over 20 years on all my online activity and apart from on here have only had two people complain about it previously, both from games I play.

It certainly isn’t meant to be provocative now although I imagine pre referendum that was probably on my mind. I also don’t believe it is stupid but you are entitled to your opinion and I’m not going to insult you over it.

if you feel the need to type Yes to the EU after all my comments I take no offence at all but please do at least be polite.

So tell us about all the Brexit benefits then.

Cycling wise, an awful lot of people are perceiving increased driver anger on the roads. That has links to the referendum result and the consolidation of a right-wing “us” identity with cyclists being among among the out groups. It is costing lives and a lot of people who would cycle are quitting.
Rose is Germany no longer sell to the UK and Spa no longer sell to Europe.  Port queues, shortages.
If you hadn’t noticed, we’re also getting massively poorer as a nation: interest rates and inflation that we didn’t have during the EU membership.
A government that remains bizarrely stuck, a nation like a pavement parked SUV driver that cannot accept they were and are wrong.
The hope with Brexit was to fracture the EU, but thankfully the pressures of this year have served to make it stronger.

I think the one thing leave and remain voters can agree on is that Brexit has been implemented terribly. The negotiators on our side had their hands tied and the EU was never going to agree to a good deal for us. A lot of people see the latter as a reason to stay but for me it just shows we were right to leave.

As for a wave of right wing Brexit caused violence against cyclists, a lot of Socialists voted leave and motorists didn’t care about our safety or hated us before Brexit. I found that the most positive part of the referendum was that for the only time I can remember most people did not vote along party lines but from their own beliefs.

I agree with you that the EU is strong. The people of Greece voted in a Socialist anti-austerity government a few years back and the EU put a stop to that very quickly.

I’m never going to change your mind and you’re never going to change mine but I’m happy to respectfully agree to disagree.

    A pro EU user username
A pro EU user username/picture is not, in any way, equivalent to an anti EU username?

I stubbed my toe in 2015.
I stubbed my toe in 2015.

I haven’t stubbed it since we left the EU.

    A clear Brexit benefit

About as relevant as most of the nonsense you just posted.

They said it was the same
They said it was the same username as on another forum and used for some years.
They write a lot about cycling so I don’t really care about the username.

There is at least one with
There is at least one with FBPE as part of their username.

Never seen any harassment of them based on that.

Yes, I am aware of pics. You mentioned pro EU usernames and I can’t remember seeing one of those.

From this thread it would appear that our Trump, Johnson and Brexit loving PBU has disappeared again for thinly veiled racist comments

Not that I support the harassing of the OP who makes contributions on cycling matters far more than politics.

    Are you one “them”, perchance?
