The whole of Jumbo Visma is out now as well.
And same Winston, did the exact same thing.

What the very hell. Waited as
What the very hell. Waited as long as I could this morning but had to go out. Did two transfers, Matthews back in was one of them….just did a panic transfer to take him back out and Vendrame in instead. What a waste.
I would have gone another way altogether and brought Ulissi in if I’d know.

Looks like it’s Michael
Looks like it’s Michael Matthews for Sunweb

Some of the reviews seem to have written him off completely, seems premature.

I think it’s got a lot to do
I think it’s got a lot to do with the field of riders. I wrote a similar sentiment elsewhere yesterday. I think we may be watching a lot of sitting on hands.

So now what? Sagan is 25/1
So now what? Sagan is 25/1 for a stage that looks made for him. Is every stage going to be a breakaway winner from now on? with the possible exception of the sprint stages if the wind is not blowing?

Balls, I ditched the rider I
Balls, I ditched the rider I asked to come home in very last if in the grupetto, since then I’ve ditched him, his team mate came in last, then he won a stage and today comes in dead last…

Really hard to read this race
Really hard to read this race…because there’s nothing to read. Trek and QST just pedalling through stages at minimum risk and not being attacked. It’s a shame Yates wasn’t able to compete properly because at least we know those Yates boys are impatient and would attack somewhere….or at least a much higher chance than those we are left with.

Kept Matthews, Sagan and
Kept Matthews, Sagan and Ballerini for Tuesady, and gone with Kelderman and the shirt minders, although I am increasing coming to the conclusion that they may be permanent minders. If the weather continues to deteriorate and the high mountain stages get reduced or voided someone like Almieda or Bilbao can go all the way? I also think people are underestimating DQS here they have three excellent young riders in the mix for the GC. Tactically the team is usually strong we are just not sure whether that applies in the mountains as well. I can see Masnada and Knox attacking and Almeida sitting in. This all seems like deja-vu and another Carapaz situation. Sorry just the ramblings of someone trying to work out where this race is going. welcome any thoughts.

This is getting very
This is getting very difficult, so many possibilities now with covid to factor in as well. Can’t even just lump a bunch of GC guys in and pick up the overall points as the breakaways are going to soak up all the other points. I think I need a hundred transfers!

It nearly happened, just as
It nearly happened, just as well there wasn’t a bigger climb today giving a groupetto, because Alex was only 5km from the finish when the peloton was crossing the finish line. That was close enough… especially by the time someone came and broke a dogs leg…

I was wondering if the
I was wondering if the peloton were going so slowly that they might arrive on the final circuit at the same time as the breakaway (but one lap behind)……..that would have livened it up, like some weird Madison race!
Dr Winston
….Rudy Barbier competing
….Rudy Barbier competing the sprint on a stage like that must be the very defenition of a slow stage.
Dr Winston
Well that was as dull as
Well that was as dull as dishwater. Well done Alex….at least six of you raced.
