Let’s overthink this.  I’m confused about the “dollar” – presumably if literal this is a rather small car for the US, having crossed onto the wrong side of the road to run into a cyclist head-on?

All the stereotypes there.  Helmet and “cyclist” clothing (check).  Man, not e.g. woman, child or pensioner (TBF all quite unlikely – well, outside Scandinavia, NL, some German cities, some parts of Belgium, Seville, parts of London…).  “Sporty”.

What we don’t see: obviously despite caption there is no cycle path.  But there is no footway either.  In fact this is apparently so far out in the country there are no road markings at the edge of the road.  (Wonder how many motorists crash off it at night?)  Strangely though there are no potholes or road damage.  I wonder how many millions that section of road cost?

It’s apparently the countryside and yet speeding cars are totally normal.  Obviously the point of the image is the tight focus but we don’t see the other motor vehicles which must be there – because it seems there is no other way to get around.

Like most BMW’s, indicators were optional on my new car. I decided to pay the extra to have them fitted, just so I had the fun of not using them to signal a turn. They do however, come in handy when parking on double yellow lines as I pop into the shops for a take away.
